The Nevada women’s basketball team will host rival UNLV on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center (4 p.m.) in the Wolf Pack’s annual “Play4Kay pink game,” which raises funds for the Kay Yow Foundation.
The Wolf Pack (4-20 overall, 3-10 Mountain West) lost a 76-63 game Wednesday to visiting San Jose State. The Rebels (14-11, 7-7) are coming off a 62-51 home win over Air Force.
The intrastate rivalry will be played for the 38th time. The Rebels lead the all-time series, 30-7, but the Wolf Pack was able to snap an eight-year drought against UNLV last season with its 71-62 victory at home.
