LOGAN, Utah – The Nevada women’s basketball team was able to turn a 17-point deficit into a four-point game in the fourth quarter but it was not enough to overtake Utah State, falling 70-55 on Wednesday.
The Wolf Pack (5-21, 4-11 MW) had three players in double figures, led by junior Stephanie Schmid and sophomore Teige Zeller, who each had 13 points. Zeller nearly recorded her second double-double in three games as she grabbed nine rebounds. Sophomore Halie Bergman added 11 points and tied a career-high with three three-pointers.
The Aggies (12-14, 7-8 MW) did most of their damage in the second quarter, outscoring the Pack 25-14, to take a 40-26 lead into halftime.
