Pack women set offensive lows in season-ended loss

The Wolf Pack women’s basketball team, a massive underdog entering the Mountain West Tournament, couldn’t muster a miracle run, losing its first-round game to Utah State, 59-35, on Monday in Las Vegas.

No. 10 seed Nevada struggled offensively, making just 11-of-59 shots (18.6 percent), including 4-of-27 in the second half (14.8 percent). The Wolf Pack’s 18.6 percent shooting was the lowest in program history. The previous low was a 19.7 percent at Louisiana Tech on Feb. 9, 2006. Nevada made just 3-of-16 3-pointers. The Wolf Pack’s 35 points scored were one above the program low of 34, set twice, the latest against Louisiana Tech in 2006.
