LAS VEGAS – Freshman pitcher Brooke Bolinger struck out a career high seven batters in a complete game and senior Megan Sweet hit the go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the sixth in the Nevada softball team’s 4-2 victory over Portland State on Saturday at the DeMarini Desert Classic in Las Vegas.
Sweet’s third home run of the season was the 27th in her career, moving into second place in program history. Senior Hannah Harger added an insurance run in the top of the seventh with her first career home run for the Wolf Pack (6-2).
