Senior Megan Sweet went 4-for-6 with a home run and three RBI and junior McKenna Isenberg gave up one earned run in a complete game in the first game as the Nevada softball team split its home opening doubleheader against Sacramento State on Wednesday.
The Pack (15-4) took the first game, 4-3, before dropping the second, 4-2. Freshman Brooke Bolinger tossed a complete game with six strikeouts in game No. 2 while sophomore Aaliyah Gibson smacked her second home run of the season in a 2-for-6 day. Wednesday’s action marked Nevada’s first games since taking on the Hornets on March 4.
