On Wednesday’s early signing period, the Nevada basketball team officially signed junior-college transfer Shawntrez Davis, a 6-foot-9 forward from South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. Davis committed to the Wolf Pack in September after visiting the campus but made it official Wednesday.
“He’s going to give us great versatility,” Nevada coach Eric Musselman said. “He can play both forwards spots and he’ll have some experience coming in as a JC player next year. He had a great visit with us and probably the most important thing when Trez came on his visit is how our current players felt about him as a person and off the floor.
