For the first time since 2012, Nevada basketball saw an uptick in season-ticket sales this offseason.
The Wolf Pack (3-1), which started with four straight games away from home, has added 153 season-ticket holders this year, a number that could still grow as Nevada sells season tickets into December.
Nevada hired a new coach, Eric Musselman, in the offseason, and with that came a 90.3 percent renewal rate, plus the addition of 471 new season-ticket holders. The Wolf Pack enters its home opener Wednesday against Portland State with 4,260 season-ticket holders (up from 4,107 last year).
Given the fact Nevada won just nine games last season, its fewest since 1999-2000, the increase in season-ticket holders is a good sign.
