Pack searching for answers at cornerback, in run defense

Before the year began, head coach Brian Polian said he wasn’t worried about the Wolf Pack’s secondary despite losing all four starters in the back end and replacing that group with a lot of inexperience.

“I’m not freaked out about it,” Polian said during the team’s spring camp.

Through the team’s first three games this season – which has seen Nevada allow a Mountain West-worst 269.7 passing yards per contest – Polian still isn’t “freaked out” about his struggling secondary.

“Ultimately, I know we have people who have the physical tools to be good enough,” Polian said.
