The Nevada football team’s endless string of injuries this season grew longer following its loss to San Jose State.
The Wolf Pack lost two more keys pieces to its defense – linebackers Alex Bertrando, the team’s leading tackler, and reserve Travis Wilson, who both could miss this week’s game – and running back Akeel Lynch retired Monday from the game. Lynch, a transfer from Penn State, had back-to-back concussion this season.
“Having suffered two significant concussions in a short period of time, and discussing with doctors and family members, I have made the decision to stop playing football,” Lynch said on Twitter.
