In its previous two games, the Wolf Pack rallied from 10- and 16-point halftime holes to score wins.
So, Friday night at the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, the three-point deficit Nevada faced against Buffalo must have felt like a lead. For the third straight game, the Wolf Pack turned a halftime deficit into a victory, this time notching a 67-62 win to move into the tournament's title game.
The Wolf Pack (5-1) has had some big second-half surges in the early portion of this season and that theme continued against Buffalo (4-2). Nevada actually started off quickly, taking a nine-point first-half lead before Buffalo moved into the lead and had a small cushion for a nice chunk of the second half.
