The Nevada football team's outlook on sending its seniors out with a victory in their final game at Mackay Stadium was as dim as the sunlight trying to peer through the clouds that ominously hovered over the field all game.
The Wolf Pack trailed Utah State, 37-24 with less than 8 minutes to play and, after three incomplete passes, sent out the punting unit to send the ball to an Aggie offense that was dismantling the Wolf Pack run defense. All hope seemed lost.
That’s when Alex Boy boomed a 51-yard punt through the sky, a kick that turned the game completely around.
