Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth has been offered a three-year contract extension that will be reviewed by the Nevada Board of Regents on March 3-4, according to the NSHE agenda released Thursday.
Knuth, who was hired in April 2013, was set to have his contract expire in June. The new contract, which is a proposed three-year deal, would come with a $10,000 base salary increase to $295,000 annually.
“Athletic Director Knuth has built a strong community relations presence, he has emphasized and succeeded in improving academic performance of student athletes, he has used his network to hire outstanding coaches with strong athletic and citizenship attributes and he has maintained an athletic program with high integrity and NCAA and Conference compliance,” the proposed contract states.
