Only four times in its more than 100 years of playing college basketball has the Wolf Pack faced off against a future No. 1 overall selection in the NBA draft. On Sunday, it might happen for a fifth time.
The Wolf Pack – which has battled against No. 1 picks Elgin Baylor, Larry Johnson, Michael Olowokandi and Anthony Bennett – will play at the Pac-12’s Washington at 5 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena.
Waiting for them will be 6-foot-4 freshman point guard Markelle Fultz, who is projected as either the first or second pick in this year’s NBA draft.
