After Wolf Pack football practice Tuesday, head coach Brian Polian issued his team a challenge.
“I challenged the entire football team,” Polian said during his weekly press conference Tuesday. “I said that very word this morning. I challenged the entire football team. We have to play tougher, smarter, more fundamentally sound football. That’s the challenge this week. Play to our standard.”
And it would be nice if Nevada, which is coming off a 28-21 loss to previously winless Wyoming last Saturday, played to that standard from the start of the game.
In Nevada’s three Mountain West games this season, the Wolf Pack offense has yet to score in the first quarter.
