Pack notes: One quarterback emerging in spring camp

The Wolf Pack didn’t enter spring camp with an all-out quarterback battle but with a new offensive coordinator, new staff and higher ambitions than last year’s 7-6 record, the position was open to competition.

Halfway through spring camp – the eighth of Nevada’s 15 practices was Wednesday evening – the same man who emerged last season, Tyler Stewart, has emerged against this year.

“Tyler Stewart has been great,” Wolf Pack head coach Brian Polian said before Wednesday’s practice. “He’s been outstanding. He’s making good decisions. He’s learned the new offense with ease. He’s solving problems at the line of scrimmage.
