News and notes from Nevada’s 71-66 loss to New Mexico on Saturday night at Lawlor Events Center.
* Point guard Marqueze Coleman wasn’t able to play in his senior night game but it was still an occasion he will remember forever.
After being introduced to the Lawlor Events Center crowd, the Wolf Pack surprised Coleman by having his mother in attendance. She underwent heart surgery on Feb. 16 and Coleman didn’t think she’d be at the game. After Coleman saw her, he broke into tears while giving her a big hug.
During the game, the Wolf Pack clearly missed Coleman.
