At this point last season, the Wolf Pack football team was engaged in a starting quarterback battle.
In this year’s fall camp, there’s another quarterback battle, only this time it's for the backup position.
Senior Tyler Stewart, who started all 13 games and attempted all but three of Nevada’s passes last year, is the no-doubt starter again this season. The question looming at the position is, “Who’s his backup?”
“That decision is probably going to go down until the middle of next week,” coach Brian Polian said.
The contenders are Hunter Fralick and Ty Gangi, who are both sophomores.
