Typically being grouped with Notre Dame is a good thing.
But three weeks into this season, only two FBS teams out of 128 are still without a sack: Notre Dame and Nevada.
While Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian said that stat is “misleading” because Nevada has mostly faced run-first teams – its three opponents have 62 passing attempts this season to 152 rushes – his team will certainly need to crank up the pressure against a Purdue team that averages 326 passing yards a game.
“I don’t think we have faced a passing attack yet like we’re going to face in Purdue,” Polian said.
