The college basketball season begins with practices in October and doesn’t end until the postseason in March, a six-month haul that includes around 35 games that many consider a grind.
But, for Wolf Pack coach Eric Musselman, 35 games is usually just the tip of the iceberg.
“College basketball has a really long offseason, but I’m coming from a world where there’s 82 games,” said the veteran coach who spent a decade in the NBA. “When college coaches say, ‘Man, I’m tired,’ at the end of the year I’m laughing because it’s only one-third of what my basketball clock is used to.
