The Wolf Pack entered this week without a football coach but is determined not to end it with that vacancy.
After ripping through a series of get-to-know-you phone calls, the Wolf Pack has sorted its list of candidates down to a handful finalists.
Two of those finalists, Eastern Washington coach Beau Baldwin and Vanderbilt offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig, have been leading candidates from the start. However, a third unknown mystery candidate has emerged and also is expected to get an on-campus interview this week.
The Wolf Pack, whose search officially began Nov. 27 when the school parted way with Brian Polian, began on-campus interviews Monday and would like to have a hire in place by Friday so the new coach can dive into recruiting the 2017 class.
