Pack gets commitment from three-star center with Power 5 offers

The Wolf Pack basketball team landed its first commitment of the 2016 class.

Kenneth Wooten, a 6-foot-8, 205-pound post player from Manteca, Calif., told the Reno Gazette-Journal on Monday afternoon that he has committed to play for the Wolf Pack. Wooten took an unofficial visit to campus earlier this month.

Wooten is a three-star recruit by Scout.com who also had offers from Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Fresno State and George Washington. The center is still considered a raw prospect, but he’s an explosive athlete with long arms who rebounds, defends the rim and can finish around the basket.
