Nevada placed three players onto the all-Mountain West preseason football team, which was announced Tuesday at the conference’s annual media summit.

The Wolf Pack’s McLane Mannix (receiver), Malik Reed (linebacker), and Dameon Baber (defensive back) all received enough votes in the media balloting to make the team.

Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien was tabbed as the Mountain West’s offensive player of the year. Other top honors went to Andrew Wingard (defensive player of the year) and Boise State’s Avery Williams (special teams player of the year).

In the team balloting, Fresno State and Boise State were picked to win the West and Mountain divisions, respectively.
