Senior LHP Christian Stolo tossed seven scoreless innings and sophomore Grant Fennell drove in four runs, leading Nevada in a 12-1 rout of St. John’s on Friday at Peccole Park.
The Wolf Pack (6-11) had 13 hits against the Red Storm (7-8-1).
Stolo – the reigning Mountain West Pitcher of the Year - picked up his first win of the season. Nevada scored 11 runs in the fifth through seventh innings and improved to 5-0 when scoring 10 or more runs.
Fennell went 3-of-4 at the plate, matching a career-high with four RBI while also adding two runs scored.
