The game was over, Nevada was the victors, his teammates were mugging him and Wolf Pack freshman phenom Cameron Oliver was searching for his mother Saturday afternoon at Lawlor Events Center.
Oliver, seconds removed from one of the most dominating efforts by a Pack player in recent memory in a 77-72 overtime win over Fresno State, blew his mother, Denita, kisses on the eve of Valentine’s Day. Denita, with tears in her eyes a dozen rows into the stands, repeated the same phrase: “I love you.”
Denita surprised her son by attending the game, making the drive from Sacramento to watch her son play live in college for just the second time.
