Notes: Stewart injury muddies water on Pack's starting QB

News and notes from Nevada’s 42-34 loss to Wyoming on Saturday.

* Coach Brian Polian said he expects Tyler Stewart’s shoulder injury, suffered during the first quarter of Nevada's loss to Wyoming, to keep him out of the team’s next game, at New Mexico on Nov. 5, but that more tests have to be run first. Stewart had an X-ray during the game, which came back negative, but the team will look to see if there was any ligament damage around the AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

“The initial X-ray was clean but it’s not going to be a minor thing,” Polian said.
