Notes: Pack rolls through quarterbacks into rotation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – News and notes from Nevada’s 39-10 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday.

* The Wolf Pack used three quarterbacks on its first offensive possession against Notre Dame. Starter Tyler Stewart led the charge but safety Asauni Rufus ran some triple-option sets and backup Ty Gangi came in for some run-first quarterback plays. That first drive went 62 yards over 10 plays before Rufus was stuffed on a run up the middle on fourth-and-short from the Notre Dame 17-yard line.

“Threw a couple of wrinkles out there offensively,” said Wolf Pack coach Brian Polian, adding Nevada couldn't just line up and go mano-a-mano against the Irish.
