Notes: Kaymen Cureton flashes good and bad in college debut

News and notes from the Wolf Pack’s 30-28 loss to Idaho State on Saturday.

* QB Kaymen Cureton became the first true freshman to start at quarterback at Nevada since 1998 when David Neill did so, and, as you might expect, he flashed plenty of good plays to go with plenty of bad ones. Cureton completed 19-of-33 passes for 205 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

“It definitely was as fast as I thought it was going to be,” Cureton said. “The tempo was extremely fast.
