Defensive back Kendall Johnson, who started 26 games, including 24 of the 25 the Wolf Pack played in the last two seasons, is no longer a part of the program after leaving the team last week.
“Kendall is no longer on the team,” Nevada coach Jay Norvell told the RGJ. “He decided to retire.”
Norvell said Johnson has stayed in school and is expected to finish his degree. After not playing in the Wolf Pack’s season opener at Northwestern, Johnson informed the coaches he no longer wanted to remain on the team.
