West is a sophomore on the Nevada women's basketball team, which won its season-opener for the first time in five years.
The Wolf Pack beat Saint Mary's, 68-72, on Tuesday at Lawlor Events Center.

Nevada never trailed, but Saint Mary's tied it early in the fourth quarter at 49.
