There’s never been a Nevada basketball career to match that of Nick Fazekas, the pivotal player in the Wolf Pack’s transformation from team to program.
And there might not ever be one like it in the future, either.
With more players than ever leaving school early to ply their trade at the professional level — be that the NBA, overseas, or a development league — and with the transfer market exploding in size over the past few years, fewer players are beginning and ending four-year careers with just a single school. And fewer still are a dominating presence in all four of those seasons.
