Nevada baseball will have a completely new look this season and not just because it has a new coach.
The team’s roster also underwent massive changes this offseason. Nevada lost five All-MW honorees, five major-league draft picks, three All-Americans and a number of players, including two MLB draftees, who had signed with Nevada but were released from their letters of intent following the coaching change.
MW freshman of the year Cal Stevenson also transferred to a junior college and is committed to Arizona, where former Nevada coach Jay Johnson was hired in the offseason following a banner 2015 season.
