Nevada wide receiver Romeo Doubs became the first Wolf Pack player selected in the 2022 NFL draft, getting picked up by the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.
Doubs was the 27th pick of the round and the 132nd overall selection.
Doubs played in 43 games in his four Nevada seasons, finishing with 225 receptions for 3,322 yards and 26 touchdowns. His 2021 senior season, which ended with 80 catches for 1,109 yards, helped move him up on NFL draft boards.
He’s also a dangerous punt-returner, a role he could fill at the NFL level. Doubs scored the first time he touched the ball in college, taking a punt into the end zone against Portland Stare in 2018.
