Nevada women’s basketball coach Jane Albright announced seniors Nyasha LeSure, Kelsey Kaelin and Julia Shelbourn as the team’s captains for the 2015-16 season that begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home against San Diego.
“It is no surprise to me that the team put the leadership in the senior’s hands,” Albright said in a news release. “Each one of them has invested greatly in the program and are ready to lead this team both on and off the court.”
This is the first team captain honor for all three seniors. Each of them have seen time in nearly 100 games.
