Stephanie Rempe is officially on the job at Nevada.
The university made it official Tuesday afternoon, introducing Rempe as its new athletic director. Her most recent experience came at LSU, where she began in 2019 and served as executive deputy director.
Rempe replaces Doug Knuth, who was fired in April after nine years leading Wolf Pack athletics. Rempe becomes the second female to hold Nevada’s top athletics spot after Cary Groth (2003-2012).
Nevada’s new AD was introduced to the public and media at an on-campus event by Nevada President Brian Sandoval.
“Beyond her professional college accomplishments, what impresses me most about Stephanie is her ability to see how special this university is,” Sandoval said.
