MISSOULA, Mont. – Sophomore Jennifer Purcell went 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI and freshman Brooke Bolinger picked up five strikeouts in a complete game effort as the Nevada softball team topped Montana, 3-0, on Friday afternoon.
Senior Jasmine Jenkins provided two base hits and an RBI for the Wolf Pack (16-4). It was Bolinger's seventh complete game and third shutout of the season.
Nevada got on the board in the visiting half of the first. With one out, junior Raquel Martinez walked and moved up two bases on consecutive wild pitches. Jenkins then dropped a ball in right field for an RBI single that scored Martinez and gave the Pack a 1-0 lead.
