The Nevada softball team swept its first day of action at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz., on Friday. The wins included a come-from-behind 7-6 win over Bradley and a 5-3 victory over Indiana, its first win over a school from one of the Power Five conferences since a 6-4 victory over Utah on Feb. 10, 2013.
Sophomore Aaliyah Gibson went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a double over the two games for the Wolf Pack (2-0) and senior Megan Sweet posted three hits and three RBIs. Sophomore Chase Redington recorded the win in the first game and tallied a save in the win over Indiana.
