Nevada softball splits two games at Montana tournament

Freshman Brooke Bolinger posted a complete game victory for the second consecutive day and Jennifer Purcell continued her hot hitting for the Wolf Pack softball team in a split of Saturday games at the Grizzly Classic in Missoula, Mont.

Nevada beat Omaha in its first game, 10-2 in six innings, before losing later in the day to Montana, 6-5.

Purcell went 6-for-6 with three doubles, a home run and six RBI on Saturday for the Wolf Pack (17-5). She has recorded a hit in nine straight at-bats; the NCAA record is 13.

Jasmine Jenkins added three hits and Aaliyah Gibson had two hits and three RBI.
