It's official: Dave Rice has joined the Wolf Pack.
The former UNLV head coach, who spent nearly 20 years of his career in Las Vegas, first as a player and then as a coach, has officially been hired by Nevada, head coach Eric Musselman announced Wednesday afternoon via a tweet. News of the hire first broke Monday.
Rice posted a 98-54 record as UNLV's head coach from 2011-16 before being fired Jan. 10 after the Rebels opened Mountain West play with three straight losses.
