Nevada loses Lindsey Drew, but picks up gutsy win at Boise State

BOISE, Idaho – Lindsey Drew snared the rebound, planted his right foot and heaved the ball to beat the halftime buzzer. The three-quarter-court shot hit front rim. Drew crumpled to the ground, his right Achilles ruptured.

As two of Drew’s teammates – Hallice Cooke and Caleb Martin – helped him off the court, one of the 8,611 fans in attendance at the Nevada-Boise State showdown at Taco Bell Arena shouted, “I hope it’s broke.
