For the second straight year, Nevada senior receiver Elijah Cooks’ season has been cut way short.
Cooks will miss the remainder of the 2021 season after suffering a foot injury, Wolf Pack head coach Jay Norvell said Monday.
Through Nevada’s first three games, Cooks caught 13 passes for 157 yards and a team-best four touchdowns. He has 115 receptions in his Wolf Pack career, which has spanned all of parts of five seasons.
Cooks was hurt during Nevada’s 38-17 loss at Kansas State on Sept. 18, Norvell said.
“Cookie has been a great player for us; it’s just really tough, tough luck,” Norvell said.
