Nine kicks up, nine kicks in, and Nevada’s Brandon Talton is the Mountain West’s special teams player of the week.
Nevada’s junior kicker was honored Monday by the conference with his second weekly award of the season. He hit three field goals against UNLV (from 22, 23 and 52 yards) and made all six of his extra-point attempts.
The 52-yarder, which gave the Pack a 10-0 first-quarter lead, was Talton’s longest of the season and the second-longest of his career (56 against Purdue in 2019).
“In the beginning of the game, I felt really good and confident with my swing,” Talton said Friday after the UNLV game.
