Last week, Nevada’s offense was outplayed by a San Diego State offense led by a quarterback who was playing safety four weeks ago.
The offense couldn’t get anything going against the Aztec defense. The unit’s issues have been consistent throughout the season, particularly during the current six-game losing streak.
It doesn’t get any easier this week, either. The Wolf Pack travels to San Jose State Saturday to take on the Spartans. Unlike San Diego State, San Jose State has a more balanced offense to accompany a rock-solid defense.
San Jose State, a program that used to be a perpetual loser and a regular in ESPN’s “Bottom 10” rankings, currently sits at 4-2 overall, 2-1 in conference, and is in second place in the West division, poised to make a run at the conference championship game.
