The weekly Nevada football meeting with the media, via Zoom, had a much different start this week.
Not because the Wolf Pack is coming off its fifth straight win to start the season, a thrilling 26-21 victory over San Diego State.
This was because of COVID protocols, and the failure by both the coaching staff and players to follow them at Saturday's game.
University of Nevada President Brian Sandoval started the meeting and spoke about the steadily rising pandemic numbers in the state.
Sandoval said Nevada is fortunate to be playing football. But he said that during Saturday's game, several members of the Wolf Pack coaching staff were seen not wearing face masks, or with them lowered, including head coach Jay Norvell.
