Nevada got its man on Friday. And he’s a Nevada man, through and through.
Ken Wilson, a long-time former Wolf Pack assistant under multiple head coaches, was named as Nevada’s 27th head football coach on Friday. He replaces Jay Norvell, who left for Colorado State on Monday.
Wilson comes to Nevada from Oregon, where he most recently served as linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator from 2019 to 2021. He has also had coaching stops at Washington State, New Mexico and North Central (Ill.).
Wilson was formally introduced at a Friday afternoon event at the Basin Street Club in Mackay Stadium.
