For the first time in a year and a half, fans will get to see Nevada football in person on Saturday, although it will be a little different than the team playing this fall.
For one thing, quarterback Carson Strong won't play in Saturday's sold-out Silver & Blue scrimmage. Coach Jay Norvell said Strong is being held out as he continues to recover from offseason surgery. Receiver Elijah Cook also won't play Saturday; he is also recovering from an injury last season.
Norvell said Strong is healthy enough that he could practice, but Wolf Pack staff is being cautious with him.
