Nevada basketball: Wolf Pack's Mountain West opener postponed due to COVID issues at SJSU

Nevada’s Mountain West basketball opener will be coming later than expected.

The Wolf Pack’s Wednesday game at San Jose State has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Spartans’ program, the Mountain West announced Monday morning.

The Wolf Pack (6-4), which played just twice in December, will now open its Mountain West schedule on Saturday at home against New Mexico.

In all, SJSU will postpone its next three games, the conference said. The Spartans had been scheduled to play Nevada (Wednesday), Utah State (Saturday), and UNLV (Jan. 5). Any games that cannot be rescheduled will be considered no-contests by the MW.
