ATLANTA – When the Wolf Pack huddled before the season began to select a code for its locker room at Lawlor Events Center, the players and coaches opted for a four-digit numerical code – 1616.
The meaning was simple. Nevada’s goal for the season was to reach the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16. That was a highly ambitious goal considering the program had gotten that far only once before in its history.
