Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status will be required to attend Nevada men’s or women’s basketball games in the upcoming 2021-22 season, the university announced Wednesday.
Fans showing proof of vaccination will be allowed to attend games at Lawlor Events Center without wearing a mask.
The athletics department said Monday that its plan for the basketball season is in accordance with the Emergency Directive from Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak regarding large events; it is pending state approval. Once approved, the policy will take effect beginning with the Nov. 9 Nevada men’s game against Eastern Washington.
