The Nevada men’s basketball team, already down one head coach, took another COVID-19 hit on Thursday.
The Wolf Pack will not play its scheduled Saturday game at North Texas due to virus issues within its program, the university confirmed Friday morning. Nevada last played Tuesday, picking up a 79-66 win over Pepperdine with head coach Steve Alford absent after a positive COVID test.
The Pack is 4-4 overall, with its next game now scheduled for Tuesday at UT-Arlington. That game is still on as scheduled, Nevada said in a news release Friday.
Prior to the Pepperdine game at Lawlor Events Center, the Pack played three times at the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, S.
