Nevada’s baseball season ended in a whirlwind of hits Saturday afternoon in San Diego.
The Wolf Pack lost to San Jose State, 15-6, in the losers’-bracket final of the Mountain West tournament at Tony Gwynn Stadium, its second loss to the Spartans at the event.
Nevada ended the year at 29-26. San Jose State, which finished with 14 hits, improved to 30-28. The Spartans played Air Force for the MW title on Saturday night.
The Pack actually finished with more hits, getting 15 off three SJSU pitchers, but left 14 men on base and had two errors in the field.
